Partners
A partner is an external organisation you deliver with or through. That includes sub-contractors, integration partners, and vendors whose hours or costs land in your engagements.
Partners are reference data. They do not have logins. Their hours and costs flow into your finance and capacity through delivery party attribution on each engagement.
Partner fields
| Field | Detail |
|---|---|
| Name | Partner organisation name. |
| Type | Sub-contractor, vendor, channel, or other. |
| Default rates | Used in contracts and rate cards. |
| Contact | Primary point of contact. |
| Engagements | Where this partner is involved. |
Why track partners
- Cost attribution. Partner-delivered hours land on the right cost line.
- Margin clarity. You see what was delivered by you and what by partners.
- Service quality. Partner-side missed terms roll up to the partner record.
- Renewal pricing. Past partner cost informs future commercial terms.
Delivery party attribution
Every plan and actual carries a delivery party that points to either a customer-side or deliverer-side party. Partners sit on the deliverer side. That is what answers “how much of this engagement was delivered by us versus by Partner X.”
